![]() ![]() The characters are extremely likeable Simon is the first “rebel” teen character I’ve seen in a book whose behaviour makes perfect sense, and is actually relatable. I won’t spoil what happens but let’s just say there’s a lot more to this book than I thought there would be, and the plot is slightly different than I expected. ![]() When you start getting bored of Otherworld Simon is brought back to reality to continue the real world parts of his quest. ![]() There are chapters full of gameplay interspersed with chapters about the real world, which makes it a pretty interesting read. However it’s much more than just a game and soon Simon finds out this and has to embark on a quest of sorts. It follows Simon, an 18 year old delinquent, as he explores the virtual reality game Otherworld. ![]() When I got the actual book it was even more intriguing I haven’t read a really good sci-fi book since The Rise And Fall Of D.O.D.O. and the premise for this one seemed pretty unique. I first saw it on his Instagram and thought it looked super interesting. No one could have seen it coming.įirst, thanks to Simon Trewin of WME for my copy of this book. It’s everything you’ve ever wanted.Īnd it’s about to change humanity forever. They promise Otherworld will make all your dreams come true. They say it’s addictive-that you’ll want to stay forever. The company says Otherworld is amazing-like nothing you’ve ever seen before.
